Gas Transmission Pipelines

SCADAware engineered a PC based SCADA system, which monitors a natural gas pipeline with 6,200 miles of pipe and 26 compressor stations. This pipeline is now unattended off-shift (2nd & 3rd) and all compressor station systems are monitored and controlled by an operator in the corporate office across a Wide Area Network (WAN). This system monitors approximately 150,000 I/O points from Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs. The entire project was built from Bloomington, Illinois via dial-up networking and a Remote Access Server at the pipeline corporate office in Owensboro Kentucky.
